I'm currently editing the review that this mallow bouquet fieldtest was created for and I wanted to share this watercolor painting before I moved the files off my phone to make space.

I draw tiny people so that makes me a LILListrator.

I use a lot of Sakura Pigma FB pens, but they get expensive and generate a lot of waste, so when Tom's Studio released the brush pen for the Lumos and an artist Fountain pen, I wanted to see if I could shift to a more renewable and refillable option (and an alternative to Noodler's Fountain Pens)

This week I have a massive Tom's Studio haul and review, putting their one dip nib, their fountain pen, their Lumos refillable pens, their handmade watercolors, and their Winsor & Newton brush collab to the test! Swatches, inking demos, and watercolor fieldtests ahead! youtube.com/watch?v=KmJS...

A weird thing about me is that I make so much art for YouTube reviews that I never otherwise share or use for anything else. In my mind a lot of it isn't really good enough, or it's just an excuse to practice. So my channel is like a video sketchbook.

Its always weird when people point out that I post a lot of art, because what do you mean, a lot of art? I have an MFA in comics, I was an anime convention artist for about a decade, this is NOTHING compared to what I used to do. This is me disabled, baby.

I promise I will NEVER partner with an AI company. Several have tried to sponsor me, and I never accept. Why would I work with the industry killing mine (art and education)

Ok, to be fair, there is a lot of dopamine in finishing a fieldtest that's sat stretched on your side table for two months.

I wanted to test the opacity of Fuumuui's Creamora watercolors, so naturally that meant painting a little Lunar moth on black Stonehenge paper.

This Fuumuui Creamora review is a long one! A couple months ago, I shared a review on Fuumuui's grey and vibrant opaque watercolor sets, but wanted to revisit my opinion after seeing reviews of their pastel and skintone sets.

Does French Mean Fancy When it Comes to Watercolor? Exploring Sennelier Watercolors

I have a big review this week- we're revisiting Sennelier watercolors! I tested tubes & half pans from this renowned French watercolor manufacturer, compare against several other professional paints, and paint several illustrations to fully test out these premium paints! youtu.be/_mXX0gDJn9A?...

If a watercolor company ever gave me a color, it would be a granulating blue violet with maybe a hint of magenta, like an iris.

I worked on this Sennelier #watercolor review for months- setting up half pans, swatching and comparison swatching against other popular professional watercolors, and so many fieldtests. Please watch it so I may have a crumb of dopamine and share my special interest. youtube.com/watch?v=_mXX...

It's that time of year! A faux #oktoberfest poster, combining a couple different events. I'm not one to say no to a giant fluffy pretzel.

Fighting with Adobe Premier and Media Encoder tonight trying to fix my Sennelier review for tomorrow

So I ran a very unscientific experiment today, at a Bookcon The table behind me was empty for half the show, so Joseph filled it with books. While sales were SLOW, he made 4 sales, and I sold the rest of the $133 we sold today. Joseph is the better salesperson btw

1112

Selling comics at a book con and I see so much AI Generated imagery, esp on banners and covers 😭

Conventions and shows have brought in less than half what they brought in last year, and online sales are pretty stagnant. I know everyone is struggling, I am not alone in this, but times are still tough.

All set up at #Livingston's Book-Con! We've got books AND comics and art prints! We'll be here from 11-4 at the Livingston Main Branch Library! This is a free all ages event, so bring your kids.

Of course I'm going to give myself a craving for fresh pretzels when there's no way I can get one.

I don't do many tutorials anymore because they don't get many views, but if y'all would watch, I'd love to go back to teaching! So that brings up the question: What would you like me to teach you? What's a technique you'd like to learn from me? What sort of tutorials are you interested in?

I can't believe I'm launching 17 new Louisiana greeting cards at Livingston Book Fest

I never thought I would add a rootbeer float to my lineup, but like Dr Pepper, Frostop was too popular down here not to include.
