Dungeness: Some highly cropped images of the fantastic Brown Booby, that was brilliantly picked out by @neilburt.bsky.social in among a large distant feeding flock of Gannets this afternoon off the fishing boats. Despite woeful phone signal at Dunge most the of the locals connected thanks to radio.

25 years ago today, I stood in what was then a dying shipyard in Belfast, gazing at a scene associated with terrible tragedy. The graving dock where 'Titanic' was fitted out. I thought of the victims. Back in the car, a newsflash came on the radio. That's how I remember September 11, 2001... 😢

Info back from the Stavanger Ringing Scheme regarding the recent Red-backed Shrike at Low Newton. Ringed 10 days earlier on Norway's south coast, it covered 657km/408 miles to reach Low Newton. It's the first ever recovery of a Norwegian ringed Red-backed Shrike in the UK ! #NEbirding #BirdRinging
