[ #kamenrider ] (cw: hanging/strangulation, suffocation) ARE YOU READY?

fanart of kamen rider build cloaked in darkness with glowing eyes, holding its right hand out palm down with a string tied on the middle finger. hanging limp from the string is a much smaller sento kiryuu, with his head censored by a glitched yellow warning sign (implying the string is looped around his neck). the "tears" of build's mask have been highlighted in blue and red, making the fang-like shape more apparent in reference to evolt. shadowy wisps drift around build. the piece has a static filter, and has some glitch effects applied

fanart of a panicked sento kiryuu sinking into a tar-like substance. most of his body is covered, but his arms, knees, and his eyes are still visible. his hands, attempting to claw at the liquid covering his nose and mouth, are being pushed away by the hands of black hazard emerging under/around him from the pool. the hazard trigger is half-submerged in the center, its switch pressed by tendrils of the substance. black hazard's shoulder armor is also visible around sento

Giancarlo Dittamo posted this tribute to PAC on X:

Two weeks ago, we set up a little room to film interviews for Andy's memorial. Nothing fancy. Just a camera, a chair and a place where everyone could speak from the heart. No characters. Just people talking about someone they loved.
I sat across from Ben as he prepared to speak about Andy.
He came in. He knew exactly what he wanted to say. He sat down, delivered it with an emotion I had never seen from him and then immediately apologized and asked if he could do it one more time.
And there we were sitting across from each other, both crying. He kept apologizing. I kept telling him,'
"It's ok. This is all fresh. There's
absolutely nothing to apologize for right now.'
But he just wanted to get it right. He wanted it to be perfect. Not because he cared about how he looked on camera but because he cared so much about the person he was talking about.
I think that's what I'Il remember most about that moment. Here was a man who spent so much of his career protecting this Bastard character of his, sitting in front of a camera trying to find the strength to just be Ben and even when his heart was breaking, he was worried about getting it right. That's who he was.
I keep going back to that room two weeks ago. Two people sitting across from each other, crying over someone we'd lost.
Never in a million years did I imagine I'd be sitting here just two weeks later, trying to find the words to talk about losing him too.
And here I am, sitting here trying to write something perfect about someone who always wanted everything to be perfect. But I don't think I can.
I wish I could tell you one more time that you have absolutely nothing to apologize for and you were truly perfect. The perfect wrestler, friend and co-worker.
Carlo.

The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

youre probably looking at this fruit and thinking ‘wow, that must grow on a tropical island somewhere’, and you’d be WRONG AS HELL. its a pawpaw, the largest edible fruit native to north america. this is our first one and it tastes like banana, vanilla, and cantaloupe made a weird ass threesome baby

a pawpaw fruit still clinging onto the tree outside my bedroom door, but it’s gonna fall soon and im gonna eat it and pretend to everyone that i love it

the pawpaw has been sliced open revealing its mushy yellow private innards. if you eat the seeds or the skin something bad happens, and might happen even if you just eat the mushy part too idk, the internet is full of rumors. i will find out the truth the way nature intended: just eating it anyway and seeing if i shit myself at dinner. stay tuned.

for the goddamn millionth time, i am going to point out: Batman Begins made $375M at the global box office. The Dark Knight made a Billion it's common for movies to not make the real money until a sequel, and this movie has SUCH good word of mouth, you'd be insane not to give it one more go

mezuera @mezuera.com · 10/07/2026

I never haul, tow, go off-road or do any kind of "work" with my vehicle; it's just an appliance that shuttles 1-4 people from home to the office to errands around town. If they added a 4-door sedan at the same price or less than the truck, I think it could be a big deal

110

mezuera @mezuera.com · 10/07/2026

And I'd be spending +$5k to convert a truck into an SUV when I just want a car. Slate's (currently) aiming squarely at folks who want a small retro truck and that's fine but I think they're really close to pulling in another market almost by accident: people who just want a simple, cheap commuter EV

110

mezuera @mezuera.com · 10/07/2026

That's why I'm so fascinated with Slate despite having no use for a pickup. I love my Ioniq 5 but if Slate offered a sedan or smallish crossover, I'd seriously consider one at the end of my lease
