Ed took Stede's "Darling, you can't possibly kiss EVERY one." as a challenge. That'll learn 'em. (Thank you to sweetest @xrayvex.bsky.social for adopting this ancient sketch!!) #ofmd #OurFlagMeansDeath

Drawing of Ed and Stede from Our Flag Means Death. Ed is pushing down a robe on Stede's shoulder and smooching Stede's freckles. Stede has his head back resting on Ed's shoulder, his eyes are closed and he's smiling. Ed's shirtless and has his arms wrapped around Stede's chest. Totally gross and embarrassing how in love they are.

She’s still out there...somewhere... #OFMD #OFMDFanart

A tiny ship sails towards a golden sunset. The ship and the waves are dreamy and blurry. This is a detail from another piece of art I made: a photo of two tiny model ships on blue fabric waves, with an orange fabric backdrop and cotton-ball clouds. Though, of course, this quote refers to the Revenge, this ship is actually the Jayaera. Jayaera is one of two names Vico said they would use for their ship if they were captain (the other was the Pitirre). Once I heard that, of course I had to make the ships and photograph them at sea.

Part of a navy blue flag with gold fleur-de-lis symbols. In gold marker is Taika's signature and the words, "To Chloe, Love from Ed AKA Blackbeard. XO"

Long story short: I’m an asylum seeker in France now. I don’t know how long this process will take, but for I still can’t officially work here. So I’m looking for any opportunity to earn money to be able to pay for rent and food. Please, read and share this post ❤️‍🩹 ko-fi.com/illustory

WE NEED HELP
Please, read and share this!
(text version of the pics above)
We are a group of queer artists, and we are in big trouble.
In April 2025, we immigrated to France, seeking a safe place to live and make art.
Our humanitarian visas expired a year ago.
Since then, we have been trying to get legal status in France.
To be able to work, open a bank account, get health insurance and just have some basic human rights.
We spent a whole year fighting for our lives against Strasbourg Prefecture and we lost.

All this time we couldn't properly work, so we were burning our savings.
In August, all three of us were denied a residence permit.
According to the Prefecture, the only option for us To stay legally in France is to become asylum seekers.
About a week ago, we sent out our applications for the asylum.
Now we are looking at another indefinite stretch of time, before we are summoned to Paris for interviews.
It might be two months, three months, half of a year or even more... no one knows for sure.

We had planned for a year without documents max, and now it's been a year and a half already.
No matter how hard we tried to stretch our savings, they have run out.
Currently, we don't have enough money to pay for rent and food in November.
It's hard for me to admit that, but we are in huge trouble, with all our hopes and plans ruined by the French bureaucracy.
We really need your help and every little bit matters, so I came up with some options for how you can support us.

There's that BTS bit where the crew talk about how you get different landscapes every direction you turn, but I don't think I'd /fully/ understood this until I was here- one panorama catches literally every scene filmed here in one shot 😂 Same is true at Te Henga beach- mind-blowing.

A panorama shot of the dunes in the centre, with each scene or part of a scene shown in insets. In the scene with Stede, Ed and Zheng, you can see the hill off to the side.

Oh, I forgot! frames29, 91 and 135. I tried to do different medium and style (the painting is acrylic on paper). Funnily enough my favourite is the one I did on the deadline afternoon/evening because I wasn’t happy with what I had for this frame.

A digital painting of Stede and Ed kissing. Stede holds head by the front of his tunic and Ed has his left hand on Stede’s shoulders and the right in the air about to go around his neck or back. Ed is depicted as an angel with a white dress with purple sash and plue, purple and orange wings, the left one open and the right one barely visible behind Stede about to wrap around. Ed also has a gold halo behind his head. Stede is depicted as the devil with red skin and pointy ears, his tail is coiling around Ed’s arm. He has grey wings pointing to the back and is wearing his red curse suits. Their faces are shining of each other light. The background is a broken church wall with a glass window and space. They are lit by a ray of light

A digital drawing with in purple light Stede on the left halfway off screen behind him are 3 of his previous self in lineart and monochrome. Just behind he is in red wearing the curse suits shirt in front of night sea. Then in green he’s wearing the seamen academy shirt in front of the beach where Ed first kissed him. And finally in blue he’s wearing the French party shirt and vest in front of night sea. It’s supposed to look like the movement Stede is doing from right to left, like a blur effect.

💜 Purple + Mythical + Pearls 💜 Illustration 2 of Week 3 of #EdsSensualSeptember! This one has been a wip for years but finally had the oomph to finish him 😘💜 #TheVillainsArt #OurFlagMeansDeath #OFMD #OFMDfanart #SensualEdvents

Digital illustration of Ed Teach from Our Flag Means Death as a mythical and sensual fawn. He is seated under a willow tree full of flowing lavender leave tendrils which create a curtain around him. He is leaning back with his thick thighs and muscular goat legs stretched out in front of him, one knee slightly raised. He is nude and holding a lute across his lap which he is plucking at gently. He has two looped ram’s horns amongst his flowing silver hair and two braids from his temples. He has a loop of pearls across on hip and a few gold necklaces across his chest. His human thighs transition to goat fur right above the knee, and the fur is grey and tufted, ending in two large golden hooves. He has several colourful beaded bracelets and gold anklets looped around his ankles. He is looking upwards towards the viewer with a curious expression and one eyebrow raised. The whole image is painted in primarily purples, giving it an ethereal dusk glow. Ed’s skin is glowing in the centre of the frame, lit by the number of glowing fireflies amongst the willow tree leaves. He has a dusky pink blush across his chest and a serene smile on his face.

He has a red heart drawn where he was injured by Ned Low. The one arm in frame is bent and reaching up to hold the edge of a purple curtain. Ed is sitting behind him, his face framed by Stede's bent arm. He is looking at Stede with purple heart eyes.
