The best way to understand an unfamiliar band is to hear them cover a familiar song, in their own style. Before the Talking Heads covered Al Green's "Take Me To the River," they briefly made "96 Tears" [Rudy Martinez] their own, but I don't think they ever played it outside of the East Village.

Someone was talking about PAC being stoic at meet & greets on Twitter, so it reminded me of this anecdote.

Small child in red flannel and blue jeans standing next to PAC with long hair, wearing black AEW hoodie and shorts. Both are wearing facemasks.

Nolie met PAC at a Dynamite, when AEW was still doing preshow meet and greets.

They both looked each other up and down. Then PAC stoically says “How is your day, little child?”.

When it was picture time, he plainly said “Stand with me in battle” to Nolie.

It was perfect.

The Wire is a great show with the strongest cast of thousands in TV history, hampered for me by didacticism, an all-time terrible final season, and an overall lack of "weirdness" which is what revs my engine in the end. I love Season 2 and Season 4 the most. Marlo and Omar are proper legends.

I think it's also of note that the trans community is one of the smallest minorities in the country. The consultants are gambling that throwing this group under the bus will make Dems more palatable to the Republicans. It won't. It has alienated a lot of leftist and progressive voters, though.

I'm not sure how to start this. So I'm going to speak from the heart and share the truth. Ed Sheeran and his team have made the decision to remove me from The Loop tour.

But before I get into it, I want to say something that should be obvious. In this moment I think it matters. I am not a victim. Ed Sheeran is not a victim. Pink is not a victim. We have careers, money, opportunities, safety and audiences around the world. Whatever consequences any of us face for what we say, we get to go home to our families.

The victims are the Palestinian people. The men, women and children who have been killed, starved, displaced and forced to live through unimaginable violence. More than 20,000 children have been killed in Gaza alone. People are being killed today, and people will be killed tomorrow. I want to make sure that as I tell this story, we don't lose sight of that.
