Only Tuesday & this week already a perfect microcosm of abject state of British politics: - supposed left party scrapping universalist policies - US state dept in lock step with far right trying to make a daft domestic crime a global terror event - MI5/6 fingerprints all over another "terror" plot

Predictably, neoliberally wrong from Hinsliff: Cut benefits to buy bombs. The triple lock is a good universalist policy, even if it was Tory. Other benefits should be similarly inflation-proofed. TAX is only mentioned as an afterthought ffs, but is the actual solution.

We really are leaving in the age of the informant. Today's leaders of the far right are so clearly grasses it's laughable. The last PM was blatantly being handled by security services & in his previous career whitewashed the spycops scandal. Then there's the payroll of a rogue ME state.

Kinda mad how there's barely anyone calling for our unelected PM to call an election and seek a mandate for his PFI horse shit, isn't it? Like the libs dgaf about democracy anymore, the left have PTSD and the right only pretend to want power so they can do scams and make bank.

Given the change in London politics, Mr Lammy continued: “So for the first time in 27 years, I need an organiser, a community organiser who’s day-to-day in the constituency on doors, with those leaflets, helping me know where the issues are, street to street, neighbourhood to neighbourhood.
