It is absolutely crazy to me that graphite might win this This is pure graphite on deep substrate foliated kalkite, 4cm crystals, shipped in laundry detergent cause graphite is so soft large crystals, to over 4 cm each, found embedded in cream Kalkite. The piece is 5.5 × 4.7 x 4 cm
What makes these graphite
crystals interesting is that most have an attractive reticulated surface patterning. This patterning has been refered to as six rayed, snowflake-like, and stellate dendrites. Whatever we call it, visually it is a nice feature that refects the species hexagonal internal atomic arrangement. Large crystals like this seldom show hexagonal geometry. Normally, the crystals are rounded and they are often naturally curved, bent, or found embedded in fluorite or calcite (both of which formed after the graphite). Associated minerals from this find include calcite, fluorite, diopside, feldspar, and mica.
This is a rare cluster of crystals in naturally etched calcite. They are large crystals, to over 4 cm each, found embedded in massive cream colored calcite. The piece is 5.5 × 4.7 x 4 cm. It is a damage-free floater with nicely patterend crystals sticking out in all directions. Impressive for this common

3 panel comic titled “Logging into Bluesky”

Panel 1:
A Pink Guy bursts into Bluesky wearing a t-shirt that says “Fun”. His little face looks so happy.

Panel 2:
Six Bluesky users turn to look at the Pink Guy. They all look dour and angry because they have been overdosing on the discourse. Having the current state of the world mainlined into their veins for 22 hours a day has left them real grumpy.

Panel 3:
Pink Guy slowly removes his t-shirt and quietly says “sorry”. He won’t soon forget that Bluesky is the home of Serious Discussion. If he wants “Fun” maybe he should log into the Barney the Dinosaur forums.
