Now it's not a perfect proxy for quality, but number of Bradbury award nominations (since 2019) is better than most (at least for the stuff I like) and so here's a rough breakdown of value for money from the different providers. So now you know where to place your money.
A list of the main TV show providers against their annual cost. NBC and FX are free, so come top in the list of value for money. Then Apple, HBO, Netfilx, Disney, Amazon, Paramount, and at the bottom, the BBC

seeing googly eyes on anything always reminds me of being invited to my partner's uncle's funeral. I wrote out a condolence card with an image of a lily on it. Putting it in the envelope it snagged, took a proper look at it and on the lily was a small snail with googly eyes.

Yep - this is what often gets overlooked in the "academic freedom" debate. Academic freedom means to research (ethically) any subject, and publish it if it's robust, irrespective of the findings. It's not to pontificate on anything you like, or have any old crap published.

Brilliant analysis, and this writer can _write_ "Third-string goalie, first-string assassin, and the man is not here to fuck spiders." What's particularly impressive about this leadership is that there is a financial package for any Canadian who comes out of this worse off. UK gov take note.

This so much about the unhealthy relationship to grades. The first thing we need to teach undergraduates is to deprogram them from all the BS about learning they've had drummed into their heads up to that point. Success post-degree is connected to the skills they can employ, not what mark they got.
