well yes. I can see why Kentucky and Mississippi would want to join the UK. I mean we already eat a huge amount of ther chicken of one and we'd put the effort into learning how many "s"es and "p"s there are in the other.

Well this is annoying ... I'd have hoped the natural history museum would know the difference between synapsids and saurapsids. But it's still a hell of a long time until Christmas. Plenty of time to do a recall.

I mainly watch Apple anyway I think, (no stats on that) and don't watch anything on BBC. Disney I get free with my bank account (which is just weird). But try something similar with the genre of your choice. See what happens.

Now it's not a perfect proxy for quality, but number of Bradbury award nominations (since 2019) is better than most (at least for the stuff I like) and so here's a rough breakdown of value for money from the different providers. So now you know where to place your money.
A list of the main TV show providers against their annual cost. NBC and FX are free, so come top in the list of value for money. Then Apple, HBO, Netfilx, Disney, Amazon, Paramount, and at the bottom, the BBC

At the funeral the condolence cards were placed on the coffin as it went down the aisle, so everyone could see them. I came so close to being the English guy who thought googly eyes were appropriate for a funeral procession.

seeing googly eyes on anything always reminds me of being invited to my partner's uncle's funeral. I wrote out a condolence card with an image of a lily on it. Putting it in the envelope it snagged, took a proper look at it and on the lily was a small snail with googly eyes.
