this is indeed great. Not an attack on AI at all, but this shows very clearly how dangerous is to use GenAI for scientific writing. Exposure to plagiarism. Plain and simple.

I'm using @proton.me (mail, storage), @duckduckgo.com (search, blockade of trackers on my phone) and Brave instead of the horrendous Chrome. I've been testing @asklumo.proton.me and to me, it works very well in general, not yet tested it for coding help. I can't wait to move away from Android!

New advising trick I've been trying: when a student looks skeptical about something, but doesn't *say* they are, I say "the look on your face says you don't believe me" I think explicitly acknowledging the nonverbal cue gives permission to voice what they're unsure about so we can talk about it

When I convinced the Dutch Science funder to create funding specifically for Replication Studies (www.science.org/content/arti...) I stressed the need to let scientists select the studies to replicate. And in our paper we point out replications should focus on high impact uncertain results.
