Reflecting on the Resident Evil movie, and a thematic takeaway that's sticking with me with me is that it posits that no matter how insecure and incompetent you feel, you will never be as stupid as the people in power whose real incompetence will fuck up your life way worse than you could yourself.

Thirty hours into Control Resonant, I've finally explored every little bit of the world available to me and am forced to continue the main story. I'm 100% overpowered now, but exploring was so fun, and I can't wait to see what else this game's got up its sleeve. (I'm sure there's still a ton left.)

Not going to post about this game too much because it'd be way too easy to accidentally spoil something, but the first two or three hours I've played of Control Resonant so far have been magnificent. At least for right now, this game is everything I wanted it to be.

20 y/o me would probably be very relieved. I was so stressed when I was in college. I was in a program I didn't like, the future was so uncertain, and it felt like the walls were closing in around me (they absolutely were). I was teetering on the edge of throwing in the towel and ending my life.

That Metroid box art goes so freaking hard, dude. Sadly, the Pikmin 4 Switch 2 edition is one of the biggest disappointments of the Direct for me. Pikmin 4 has plenty of challenges baked into the base game already, so a challenge mode is kind of the last thing I wanted from this. 😔

It bears mentioning that Syndicate has some of the best DLC in the series (thus far). The Dreadful Crimes and the Jack the Ripper DLC are absolutely worth the asking price when they're on sale. The Last Maharaja... not so much. That one can be safely skipped, though I wouldn't call it *awful*.
