I'm only a few chapters into Act 1 of E-Day, but so far, I'm having a great time. It's weird how Gears of War still plays close enough to my memories of the series from 2008, but The Coalition have put together a visually gory treat so far. I hope this is a banger for 'em.

I had a 103.2 GB wait to sit through, but Gears of War: E-Day has finally arrived. If the opening act isn't a combination of utter dread and locust survival horror, I might be a smidge disappointed. I've not touched a Gears game since 2008, so fingers crossed for a fun one 🤞

I've completed a handful of missions, and unsurprisingly, Wings of Theve is already shaping up to be a banger. The opening alone takes you for a ridiculous ride, and is a step above from previous Ace Combat games. The music, the mix of melodrama, cheese, and that music? Just hooks you in, man.

I've been saying this for over a DECADE now, ever since playing Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, but more survival horror games should have a door-locking mechanic! Silent Hill: Townfall lets you do this, and it's such a fun, small thing for a horror game to have!

Watching this reminded me of when I saw Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City in the cinema; it was myself, my fiancée, and one other guy. He had a hotdog, a ginormous bowl of nachos, and a slushy. Spent 30 minutes eating them, burped, sighed, left and never came back. I hope he's doing okay.

29 hours later & my playthrough of Star Wars Zero Company is done! Bit Reactor has crafted an adventure that hangs with the best of this galaxy, and I've got my fingers crossed for the studio's success because they deserve it. A great bit of Star Wars, and an even greater game.
