The dogs are doing great, thanks for asking.

White and brindle spotted borzoi dog lying in a yard and panting gently.

Fawn greyhound dog lying on a couch. Her head is on a pillow, and she looks very comfortable, with her legs gently splayed and her eyes soft.

Red dapple dachshund with a white face sitting on a wood floor, looking at the camera.

Awesome. No warning, no message no nothing, and Google has decided to lock me out of my work account. Told me I broke a policy rule and *I'M* the one who has to make an appeal. An email account I last used for work in JULY. are you joking me.

Let's take a nap with mama

A close up photograph of a mother borzoi dog with her puppy. The photo shows the puppy, a small brindle male with white trim, resting on the head of his mother. The puppy is two days old, and smaller than her head and snoot combined. The dark puppy stands out against the light fawn color of his mom, her fur resting on the puppy's back like strands of a rug or blanket.

"Steady the Sword" Cover art for my Dishonored au where a High Chaos Corvo comes into possession of the Twin-Bladed Knife. The story takes Corvo to Tyvia, then to Morley, where he finds out the Knife of Dunwall has been living as Wyman's bodyguard. Shenanigans and a terrorist attack ensue.

illustration by laur-rants, 2026. depicts Corvo Attano from Dishonored in high contrast light that hides his face. His left hand is in shadow and his Outsider's Mark is burning with magic; in his right hand is the Twin-Bladed Knife, covered in lines of blood. Around him is smoke and light from a recent use of the power Blink. He is turning his body and face away from the viewer in a dynamic pose.

General PSA but if anyone wants me to draw illustrations for their novel, hit me up, I'm a big fan of high contrast work that's dramatic, actiony, horrifying, animals, and pretty much all of my monochromatic work is relief print inspired and informed. ✌️ ✨

I think what makes me most tired about gen ai stuff and is people around me will tell me they are anti genai and will understand its bad, until something they like happens and then it's justifying the genai use as "good" when all tech companies see is reasons to keep building data centers.

"Hey there's this fan project bringing back old campaigns from Destiny 2, and D1 to PC" Oh wow that sounds really cool. "Also it's vibe coded and the people behind it are using gen ai to make it work." Oh. Okay. So it's garbage then. Cool. Awesome. Nice.

Uhm yes impressed bc even tho things aren't perfect I've 1: got a house 2: got a yard 3: have a dachshund, a greyhound, AND a borzoi 4: have illustrated not one but 2 childrens books and 5: somehow snagged the most beautiful man I've ever seen or met and he's aging like fine wine.

Illustration by laur-rants, 2026. Corvo Attano is talking to Daud, circa Dishonored 2. Corvo's hands are on his hips and he's looking down. He says aloud "So, are we going to F this out, or what?"

Daud squints at him,m visibly confused. "... Why are you censoring the word 'fight'?"

Corvo puts his hands together and looks up away and to the right. "...Thats not the word I was thinking of..."
Daud's very intelligent reply is "...hm."

The nationalism was so insane it changed the way we listened to fucking country music forever. Before this, country music was an entirely different genre. After this, it was all "god, guns women and country!! If you didn't follow that, you were excommunicated. Just look at the Dixie Chicks.
