last night eyewitnesses saw Oscar Belgal — the man shot by ICE with his 5 year old in the car — discharged from the hospital into ICE custody, with feds speeding off as NYPD cleared the roads for them of protesters. his attorneys don't know where he is; he's seemingly been taken out of NY state.

Sure, Andy, most workaday line prosecutors work for both parties. But Folk wound up being a ranking prosecutor. And his track record is clear: he jumps into DOJ under Republicans and nopes out under Democrats. We don't have to pretend that EVERY DOJ attorney is nonpolitical
Former U.S. Attorney for Minnesota Andy Luger, a Democratic appointee, is supporting Folk. He said any attempt to tie Folk’s career to Trump is “utterly ludicrous.”

Luger said when he was leading Minnesota’s office, Folk was in Washington D.C. briefing attorneys in the Biden Administration on “high-level policy.” Luger said federal prosecutors commonly work for administrations from both parties and voters should put more emphasis on Folk’s prosecutorial history than any administration he worked under.

Sir, that was Harry Stamper.😅
Alt text:
A meme featuring white text set against a dark background above a photo of a government hearing.
The text reads:
"Did you or did you not recruit a ragtag crew of oil drillers, train them for twelve days, and launch them into space to plant a nuke on an asteroid?"
"Sir, that was Harry Stamper."
Below the text, the image shows a split-view photo of a congressional or government hearing. On the left side, a politician in a suit with a striped red tie speaks into a microphone. On the right side, Jack Smith sits attentively with an intense expression behind a desk nameplate that reads "Mr. Jack Smith."
