I am pleased with how my betta fish dish came out. I’m having a lot of fun playing with the glaze on these fish!

Ceramic dish sculpted in the shape of a betta fish. The glaze ranges from green to blue to purple.

But is Spock getting less flavoursome over time? In this essay,

A lot of media coverage of the ‘AI’ reading of the Herculaneum scrolls really fails to understand what’s happened here. There’s no language processing happening, the AI/ML is not trained on a corpus of texts or language. It can detect ink to see shapes. HUMAN EXPERTS are then transcribing the text.

A screenshot from here: https://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2025-02-07-inside-herculaneum-scroll-seen-first-time-almost-2000-years

It explains that the machine learning involves only the detection of ink

Why does it bother me when a manager or the CEO of my employer boasts about using Copilot to write their emails? This. This is why

A post by "rederiswrites" (with a photo of who I assume is Adam Conover in the background) that reads: "Just watched Adam Conover (of Adam Ruins Everything) make such a solid point that I think we should spread far and wide. Yes, having AI write your emails is lazy, sure, but people love being lazy. We need to really emphasize that sending AI emails (or using AI responses on social media, or publishing AI flyers, or or or) is *rude*.

It's rude. You're making someone take their time to read something you couldn't be bothered to write. You're telling them they were so unimportant you couldn't be bothered to actually take the time to say something yourself. And frankly, you're lying about it while you're at it.

It's rude."

An akira-style poster with the Princess Zelda walking towards the Master Cycle. Below the text reads “Zelda” with the katakana for the Zelda over it.
