What people thought of 343/Halo Studio’s releases and their excitement for an Activision Halo shouldn’t overshadow the fact hundreds of devs just lost their jobs. Microsoft’s uncompromising management and hideously limiting contractor policies did this, not “lazy incompetent DEI” devs.

Popped into Animaga anime/manga expo and it was way more creatively invigorating than I expected it to be. The artist alley took up half the floor and the average skill level was through the roof for the local scene. Also NO AI! Just great young artists making gorgeous art.

Going to enrage many by saying Halo 4/5 Chief’s armour is my favourite. So chunky and hefty, interesting and effective form choices, respects Bungie’s original design ethos for him, looks like it would actually function, PERFECT surfacing and texture feel. Just so yummy to look at.

TADC's abstractions reminded me of these pieces I did ~7 years ago. They were pretty unique at the time and popped off on Artstation, where the first one serves as the current thumbnail for the Horror category. Not sure if they had a hand in TADC's designs but it's a nice thought!

This year’s Furality was engaging as a whole but especially on a personal level. It’s gotten me thinking about how I fit into the furry space, the concept of legacy vs making the most of the friends that are here and now and the sacrifices so many talented people make for each other.
