If it works, that's pretty cool; I didn't think
would ever see this implemented (I also didn't
expect LLMs to exist).
However, this is not something you can PR
here, or anywhere. You sent me a nearly 50k
line diff, unasked for, completely LLM built, and
you somehow expect me to review it. There is
SO MUCH unrelated garbage here. Never
minding all of the docs and Python, you've
somehow touched basically all of the upstream
HDL, which already had MSU1 support, so idk
what in the world you're doing.
This kind of behavior is not acceptable. You are
infringing on the time and brainpower of people
by pushing "your" content that little/no of your
brainpower went into; completely unrequested.
I hope for the sake of all responsible
maintainers that you do not do such a thing
again.
Again, I think it's cool that you and your LLM
supposedly got this to work. It has no place in
my world.

I've been working on a very weird Pico8 game off and on. It's kind of a minimalist puzzle/adventure game. Would releasing it for free on Steam be nice or is that just adding to the deluge? It's a game that's going to have niche appeal at best, zero appeal at worst lol

Hackers Had A Live Feed Of Every ID This Verification Company Scanned. For Over A Year.
From the very beginning of this recent obsession with identifying everyone online (yes, they like to call it "age" verification, but it always ends up as identity verification), we've been pointing out that it was a huge privacy nightmare waiting to happen. Or maybe it wasn't waiting. Maybe it was already happening. This week a...

Well said in your conclusion. When the data is collected, it becomes a target and massive breaches are inevitable. What makes biometric data attractive is that you can't change it. And the power is asymmetric, serving only to bind and exploit ordinary people, despite platitudes of protection.
draft Digital Identity Guidelines. This language on biometrics in the draft IAM roadmap seems to set the US down a path to further massive breaches of persistent identifiers which can never be replaced, and which forces the federal government to rely further and further on external vendors to provide unproven and unreliable biometric authentication mechanisms instead of building off of the proven and internationally-recognized NIST cryptographic standards. I fervently hope to see more of the draft Digital Identity Guidelines reflected in future drafts of the IAM roadmap.

I will leave you with a reminder of a classic category of failure, infamous directly because of its relationship to national security (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McNamara_fallacy):

The McNamara fallacy (also known as the quantitative fallacy), named for Robert McNamara, the US Secretary of Defense from 1961 to 1968, involves making a decision based solely on quantitative observations (or metrics) and ignoring all others. The reason given is often that these other observations cannot be proven.

This provides no value to ordinary people, but it gives a quantitative fig leaf to enforce and amplify a social hierarchy. Closing an "AI divide" by increased adoption in Africa means what? Replacing this old-fashioned discriminatory algorithm with a chatbot? This is not a technical problem.

I frequently see "AI" boosters implying that LLMs are simply an innate and superior part of coding now, inescapable, and that literally all programmers agree with them. And, well. That, too, is a form of propaganda
Looking at my software peers in 2026 I see fatigued faces, I see frustration, and I see a lot of people looking for a way out of an industry that seems poised on the brink of collapse. LLMs are being pushed on us at every turn, most people seem at best frustrated by them, and ultimately they seem to appeal most to people who see the production of software as a purely mechanical means to an end. They are antithetical, however, to the idea of software as a craft, or something requiring both initial and ongoing care. As an expression of the soul.
