A small C++ program showing how to use the bin file and generated header file that comes out of df_game_data when you compile data.

df_game_data editor showing a character table being edited. it has 3 records: curly, larry and moe. The larry record is being edited.

An example .def schema file. It uses C/C++ style syntax for describing data structures. Specify the table entry type using #root.

I feel like I've wasted my life becoming an artist. Everything related to the act of creation has been irrevocably subsumed by automation in a way that's never going back in the box. Honestly should have taken the implosion of my father's profession (videography, photography) as a warning.

Tweed is such a beautiful fabric to wear this time of year because it produces, in Dolly Parton's phrasing, a coat of many colors. Even a solid-colored brown is not just brown, but bits of red, blue, and yellow to produce something that looks lifted off the Scottish landscape.

There are two photos taped together. The top shows a brown stone building with a brown thatched roof. It's surrounded by green grass, stone walkways, and blue-gray sea. Below is a checked brown tweed that reflects the colors in the landscape above it.

There are two photos taped together. The one at te top shows a rocky hillside with green and straw-colored grass, gray rocks, and a tan sandy beach below. The blue waters are crashing at the shore. Below is a green herringbone tweed that reflects the colors in the landscape above it.

There are two photos taped together. The top shows a field of green and straw colored fields with bits of purple flowers. Below is a a series of checked brown tweed that reflect the colors in the landscape above it.

A swatch book of solid-colored tweeds. The green tweed has visible flecks of red, gold, and blue.

Good to know!

Screenshot of America.gov answering who won and lost the 2020 presidential election. It states that Joseph R. Biden Jr. won and Donald J. Trump lost, with an Electoral College result of Biden 306 to Trump 232, and links to National Archives and FEC election results.

I want games with more blatant credits. I want voice actors names posted on screen when we first meet a character. I want a way to see art galleries in game for visuals with the names next to them. I want the music and artist in the corner when a song starts. Be LOUD about the game's team.

Todd Blanche now says "one-sided news" is a national security threat worth barring the press over. That's not a legal standard. It's a viewpoint test. I didn’t go to law school…and didn’t need to, to know that the First Amendment exists to STOP government from judging which coverage is balanced.

Well Dweller is such a beautiful game There's clear inspiration from Hollow Knight, some Celeste in there, I think a bit of Little Nightmares, and it's got such a wonderful creepy/cute vibe to it, real creepy children's fairytale kinda thing going. I'd nearly immediately recommend it.

Screenshot from Well Dweller showing the little crow character traversing some water, the flame from his matchstick reflected in the water, and a large creepy skeleton is visibly behind him

OH. right! i get it now!

i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

Queer people and socially-oriented people are a threat to power structures that benefit from them being suppressed. Anything is possible. We could have things like UBI, universal healthcare, etc. We could uplift our entire society. Since when did simply affording to survive become such a problem?

EMERGENCY PRESS CONFERENCE - 4 PM, OUTSIDE OF TRAVIS COUNTY JAIL, 500 W 10TH ST. AUSTIN, TX

This morning around 8:50 AM, Misael Ramos, Austin DSA-endorsed candidate for City Council District 1, was arrested by state troopers while walking his dog. His neighbors watched as troopers, many in unmarked vehicles, detained him wihtout ever showing a warrant. He is now being held at Travis County Jail on a misdemeanor charg that his campaign believes is tied to his participation in the protests after ICE agents shot Wilber Rafael Garces Perez, a delivery driver in North Austin, last weekend.

Speaking out for our immigrant neighbors is not a crime. Misael has always shown up for our community, and now we need to show up for him.
