I don't like GDP as a measure - it was not designed for what it's used for now. But, it's worth pointing out GDP can go up cos companies just make more profits. Eg if people have less to pay on their mortgage, and companies grab the $, GDP goes up! Woohoo. Doesn't mean jobs or wages do though [Ends]

The lesson of 2020 is that we shouldn’t mistake anti-Trumpism for liberals seeing through propaganda and changing their politics. This is likely temporary at best, and once a Dem is back in the WH, they’ll be promoting neoliberalism, a neocon foreign policy, and scapegoating immigrants again.
