Independent mediation now. Green Party Deputy Leader Lesley Veronica said: "What we have seen at Drumcree is a failure of politics, a failure of process, and most importantly, a failure to properly listen to the people who have lived with the consequences of this dispute for decades. 1/6

I don’t feel the Orange Order represents or speaks for me, but I know it was important to my Grandad. He was so proud taking us on marches through Portadown when I was a child. I don’t want to think ill of him, but I do believe I should leave that all in the past where it belongs.

Sinn Fein should have called for the resignation of the entire parades commission and listened to the people telling them that the high court case would likely result in a parade being allowed. There was also a mess over mediation.

The Portadown No. 1 LOL have applied for the same route basically every other Sunday for the past decade. This has become an issue now because Jamie Bryson figured out a way to catch the Parades Commission, who he has detested since as long he started yapping, while they were asleep at the wheel.

We shouldnt be talking about a march that 10 ppl were killed over. A Maternity dept provides for 10s of 1000s of people is set to be withdrawn. A woman was murdered in her own home while 32wks pregnant - beaten to death with a water bottle. Donaldson’s sentencing. All stuff that really impacts lives

Today’s parades decision has overshadowed reporting about what was laid out in court about Sarah Montgomery's murder - she was 32wks pregnant, beaten to death by the father of her children with a water bottle he was bought for Father’s Day. So many determined to make this dangerous place worse

Belfast City Airport wants 13,000 extra flights a year and later take‑offs to 10.30pm over east Belfast and Holywood. If you live under the flight path, this is your chance to say no - sign the petition: greenpartyni.org/stop_belfast...
Aerial view of Belfast City Airport and Belfast harbour with the Green Party logo at the top. Overlaid text reads: ‘13,000 extra flights a year & later take-offs; 78% say aircraft noise hits their sleep; More traffic & more pollution.’ A bold pink banner across the runway area says ‘STOP BELFAST CITY AIRPORT EXPANSION’. Below, white text on a green overlay says ‘This expansion piles more noise and pollution onto local families, so the airport can squeeze in more short‑haul flights.’ At the bottom is a red button labelled ‘SIGN OUR PETITION’ and a small line stating it is published and promoted by Green Party NI with a Bangor address.

This is, incidentally, ALWAYS where the anti-trans playbook was going to lead, because they fundamentally conceptualized being trans as having a mental disability, and every last scrap of ableism they were covert with there, they're mask off on now. They must be rejected--in whole. Hobbes is right.
