ttrpg tip, instead of waiting for your gm to ask for perception checks, try rolling them every few minutes. to reduce confusion, each player should roll one after another so there’s no overlap. this is also great for games that forgot to add in perception checks

To activate a unit on the table, you had to: 1: Write down orders on a paper scrap; 2: Tuck it folded under a mini of a messenger on a horse; 3: Send that messenger off, across the the battlefield, to your intended unit. The messenger had to make it, for the unit to carry out its orders. 3/
