After four incredible years, today is my last day at Eurogamer. It has been an absolute joy and privilege to be even a small part of such an incredible team for so long. However, I have decided it is time for something new.

There's a kind of whiplash of watching and enjoying something like SGF only to wake up the next day and see people complaining about any and everything as usual. The discourse around games is really sad to see at this point. So many people seem unable to just...enjoy anything. Feels bad.

Hey, I realised while watching these showcases that I'd love to just... have a group of friends to talk about this stuff with and maybe play games with Feels odd to reach out and try meet people this way, but it is social media, so if any mutuals are open to a new person joining that'd be so nice!

Personal news: I'm leaving my Editor-at-large role at Eurogamer & Gamer Network as part of new cuts. I last year approached my move to Eurogamer & VG247's skeletonization with reluctance, but I ultimately greatly enjoyed giving EG a go. But now after 10yrs & in difficult conditions, it's time to go.
