A large mosaic of Jupiter was collected by Voyager 1 on February 27th, 1979, at 4:08 UTC.

The mosaic consists of 18 monochrome NAC frames, shuttered through a mixture of orange and violet filters.

Three of the smaller, inner moons of Jupiter are barely visible as they transit their parent planet. From left to right they are: Thebe (faint), Adrastea and Amalthea.

The observation is listed in the PDS as "TWO COLOR (O,V) 3X3 NA MOSAIC + 9 WA (G,O; CH4; V,G,O; CH4; V,G)"
