I'm especially fond of this one she did of The Bear busking in my kitchen in Norfolk in 2013. The Bear was always "The Bear", NEVER "Bear". That would have been a very different cat. (People who still call him the latter tend to be people who followed the Twitter account but never read about him.)

I feel like the AI Will Be Conscious thing is similar to the idea of the singularity or like Elon Musk insisting that specific memories can be saved or deleted, like it's the same very literal understandings of the mind that yet all rely on magic we have no working model of or evidence for.

A lot of Japanese ppl I know in the corporate world, including my colleagues, call chatgpt “gpt-sensei” and they’re usually the ones who think that gen-ai/LLMs/ai agents etc are magic, don’t understand how they work but think they know better, and never fact check.
