This tree is very tall, very old and has clearly Seen Some Things. Also possibly Done Some Things #SpookyNature 🌿
A black and white photo of a big bare tree on a foggy day. It has irregularly shaped and angled branches and is much larger than the trees around it. It looks like it could be some kind of forest spirit.

Hackers Had A Live Feed Of Every ID This Verification Company Scanned. For Over A Year.
From the very beginning of this recent obsession with identifying everyone online (yes, they like to call it "age" verification, but it always ends up as identity verification), we've been pointing out that it was a huge privacy nightmare waiting to happen. Because there’s never a bad time to share Chuck Jones’s rules for the Road Runner, here are Chuck Jones’s rules for the Road Runner
RULE 1.
THE ROAD RUNNER CANNOT HARM THE COYOTE EXCEPT BY GOING "ВЕЕР-BEEP!"
RULE 2.
NO OUTSIDE FORCE CAN HARM THE COYOTE - ONLY HIS OWN INEPTITUDE OR THE FAILURE OF THE ACME PRODUCTS.
RILEろ。
THE COYOTE COULD STOP ANYTIME - IF HE WERE NOT A FANATIC.
(REPEAT: "A FANATIC IS ONE WHO REDOUBLES HIS EFFORT WHEN HE HAS FORGOTTEN HIS AIM.' -GEORGE SANTAYANA)
RULE I.
NO DIALOGUE EVER, EXCEPT "ВЕЕР-BEEP!" RULES.
THE ROAD RUNNER MUST STAY ON THE ROAD - OTHERWISE, LOGICALLY, HE WOULD NOT BE CALLED ROAD RUNNER.
ALL ACTION MUST BE CONFINED TO THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
OF THE TWO CHARACTERS - THE SOUTHWEST AMERICAN DESERT.
RULE 7.
ALL MATERIALS, TOOLS, WEAPONS, OR MECHANICAL CONVENIENCES MUST BE OBTAINED FROM THE ACME CORPORATION.
RULE 8.
WHENEVER POSSIBLE, MAKE GRAVITY THE COYOTE'S GREATEST ENEMY RULE 9.
THE COYOTE IS ALWAYS MORE HUMILIATED THAN HARMED BY HIS FAILURES.

I once worked on an Oscars where Dolly performed, and 2 things: 1. All the musical acts had to do multiple rehearsals, usually for an audience of stand-ins playing the part of the nominees. Most acts were clearly giving rehearsals half their energy. Dolly noticeably gave it 100% every single time.

Listen, anytime a friend makes a piece of art, I'm excited to check it out...and even if the art's not for me, I'm excited for my friend. Not everything is going to connect, but making things is hard and knowing that someone brought something to the world that wasn't previously there is pretty rad.

Before every game here in Winston-Salem they "deliver" the game ball to the pitcher's mound via a remote controlled dump truck they steer in from the foul line; it turns around, dumps out the ball and whirs back off the field. Minor league baseball rules.
A small remote controlled dump truck has just dropped a baseball at the front of the pitcher's mound
