I love this photo. I love the cat’s position and expression, I love the textures, I love the ethereal light leaks. From my collection, no date/info.
Black and white photo of a medium haired white cat rising up on its haunches, it’s forepaws slightly blurred with motion as of reaching for something out of frame above its head. It is outside on a lawn, the crunchy dark texture of the grass and hedges contrasting nicely with the light smoothness of its fur. Emerging from the lawn below it are patches of light as if something spectral is emerging from the earth (I believe this is because the film was accidentally exposed to additional light either within the camera or at some point during processing).

For the people saying critics of Democrats on immigration from the left don’t have an alternative, I always say “go look at the Statue of Liberty, that’s our immigration policy.”
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

❤️ Photo from my collection, not date/info.
Black and white photo of a handsome white man wearing finely striped pajamas or a bathrobe and faintly smiling a little as he holds up a tabby kitten. Both man and kitten are looking at the camera. The photographer can be seen reflected in the mirror behind the man.

Earth and Moon from DSCOVR NASA's Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC) aboard the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) satellite captured this unique view of the Moon as it moved in front of the sunlit side of Earth last month. This view shows the fully illuminated “dark side” of the moon that is never visible from Earth. Ian Regan processed this version of the image to account for the Moon's motion. NASA / NOAA / Ian Regan

Artemis II puts me in mind of a poem, 'High Flight' by John Gillespie Magee Jr. My dearly departed friend Ace Lightning used to recite this upon takeoff whenever flying somewhere. She loved flight and space and would have been so happy to know that humanity is finally returning to the Moon.
