We have released a new version of @iroh.computer. Nothing major in terms of features, but we did manage to significantly reduce the binary size. So now my entire embedded device zoo is running on iroh from crates.io. No more patch needed. www.iroh.computer/blog/iroh-1-...

Okay so I've built a new Atlas, this time it lets you explore the conversations on Bluesky over the past 7 days graphically. It should update every ~6 hours and help you navigate the information environment that exists on here. I've learned a LOT about what people do here today... atlas.jazco.dev

I was growing fond of the emerging “two things can be true” idiom because I was growing tired of saying “seemingly contradictory positions can be simultaneously true on closer inspection.” Logic is the beginning of wisdom: not the end. 🖖

Yes, and beyond alignment, which amounts to getting an agent to adopt your point of view, we could get into object capability security, which amounts to being explicit about the authority you are willing to give your agent at a very fine granularity, which would have been handy for humans too.

Scatter plot titled "Average of 4 workflows: accuracy vs cost" comparing AI models from TypeSafe, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Fireworks across accuracy (y-axis, 40% to 80%) and cost per workflow in USD on a logarithmic scale (x-axis, $0.0001 to $1).
Data points are split into two categories: workflows (diamonds) and single prompts (circles). A frontier line highlights the most efficient workflow models—where no point is both cheaper and more accurate—connecting Jev (TypeSafe) at $0.0002 and 68% accuracy, luna (OpenAI) at $0.002 and 67% accuracy, terra (OpenAI) at $0.04 and 68% accuracy, and sol (OpenAI) at the top accuracy of 74% for $0.08. Single prompts (circles) and Anthropic models (opus 5, sonnet 5, haiku 4.5) sit below the frontier line, indicating higher cost for equivalent or lower accuracy.

RFC 7¼: On the Proper Separation of Names and Powers

A wizard MUST NOT use a True Name directly in routine spellcasting.

A Working Name SHOULD be revocable.

A Sigil MUST grant no more authority than required for the spell at hand.

A Familiar MAY cache credentials, but SHOULD NOT be trusted merely because it looks offended.

A Binding Circle MUST fail closed.

Any spell of the form

IF knows (name) THEN obey ()

is DEPRECATED.

Reason: this is how kingdoms get rooted.

anthropic models seem to lean towards "assume what you meant", openai models seem to lean toward "do only what was exactly said", which is a bit of a matter of taste honestly. me: "CI failed" astra: "yes I've confirmed it failed" me: "...so go fix it?"
