OK, this was a crazy release. Opus 5.5 ran for 4 days straight solving all sort of integration issues in the drive train subassembly and build farm ops. 40 PRs in total. It did pull through though. $14k in token-equivalent costs, 167 subagents, not all running at once. github.com/pedropaulovc...

Current AI harnesses are definitely not optimized for CAD work. I only got the sketch sheet on the right because I asked for it beforehand.
Dark terminal screenshot says the farm launch is awaiting Main’s GO, with an optional canary; nothing launches during
the freeze. A vendor comparison for MHA-147 must run on “amet” or a worker with the file copied in because
91375A106.SLDPRT is gitignored. It also says dtasm’s ACK and Main’s GO are pending, and PR2 awaits the user’s pick.
Below, a “Rocker Q4” selection menu highlights the recommended choice: “(a) axial #2-56,” described as giving a 2.07
mm shaft wall, meeting the 2.0 mm target, matching the photos, and using Ø8 washers. Other options listed are axial
#4-40, radial #2-56 in a Ø16 ball, and radial #4-40 in a Ø19 ball. Engineering comparison sheet titled “#743 Q4: rocker pivot shaft (MHA-065) retention at the bracket ear (MHA-123),”
with three scaled section views; inboard is left. (a) Axial end screws: a #4-40 screw gives 1.73D thread engagement
and 1.74 mm of shaft wall; #2-56 gives 2.07 mm. This option matches the photos and avoids a ball, but needs Ø8
washers. (b) A radial #2-56 set screw in the existing Ø16 ball gives 1.65D engagement; the ball extends 3.2 mm past
the ear’s inner face into the washer space. (c) A radial #4-40 in a Ø19 ball gives 1.67D engagement; the ball extends
5.1 mm past the ear and interferes with the hub or washer unless moved outboard. The drawing notes that the larger
ball reuses MHA-147. Bracket is black, shaft blue-gray, balls gray, screws gold, and end hub light blue; a scale bar
 marks 10 mm.

First impression of MiMo v2.6 Pro are quite good. Clear thinking trace and not overly verbose in medium mode. Used less common omp tools like learn properly on the first try. Tokens per seconds are good. And, obviously, cost is awesome. Curious to try the ultrafast mode later.

As expected, lots of part fitting bugs caught and fixed as the assembly doc was authored but agents did a great job in the end. $1100 in API equivalent costs. $700 Opus + $325 Fable + $75 Astra. 54 subagents in total, <5 in parallel.
Sheet 1 of 3 of engineering drawing MHA-A04, "frame assembly," rev v36, from Albert Michelson's Harmonic Analyzer: A Project For Hobby Machinists. At left, a small 1:8 front elevation of the frame in working position, with section arrows A-A at the base joint and B-B at the top joint, dimensioned to a top cross-bore axis height of 1018.0 mm (reference 1044.8). Center and right are two hatched section views at 1:3 — Section A-A through the base plate and Section B-B through the top casting, both showing the four rounded corners where tubular columns pass through, cross-bore screw holes, an internal rib structure, a gooseneck hub with set screw at left, and the engraved maker's nameplate at right. Title block gives general tolerances (.X ±0.8, .XX ±0.51, .XXX ±0.13, drilled holes +0.10/0, angles ±1°), "remove burrs and break sharp edges R0.25 or chamfer 0.25 max," threads UNC/UNF class 2A/2B, finish and material "see component drawings," third-angle projection, units mm.Sheet 2 of 3 of engineering drawing MHA-A04, "frame assembly," rev v36. Top is a 10-row bill of materials: 1 MHA-035 two-plate frame base (qty 1); 2 MHA-083 open-end tubular frame column (4); 3 MHA-089 rocker-arm support casting (1); 4 MHA-039 1/4-20 x 5/8 hex-head screw, 18-8 SS (4); 5 MHA-077 top-frame casting (1); 6 MHA-133 steel push-on cap for 1 in OD tube (4); 7 MHA-086 engraved brass maker's nameplate (1); 8 MHA-030 brass #4-40 x 1/4 fillister-head slotted screw (4); 9 MHA-132 zinc-plated steel #10-32 x 1-3/4 narrow fillister-head slotted screw (8); 10 MHA-118 steel 1/4-20 x 5/8 square-head cup-point set screw (1). Below is a tall isometric exploded view at 1:7, rendered in teal and grey: a dark rectangular base plate at the bottom, four vertical silver tubular columns rising from it, the teal top-frame casting floating above with push-on caps and screws exploded off it, the triangular rocker-arm support casting and the nameplate pulled clear of the base. Balloon callouts 1–10 point to each part. Caption: "Exploded view 1:7 — see sheet 3 for installation order."Sheet 3 of 3 of engineering drawing MHA-A04, "frame assembly," rev v36. The left two-thirds is text. "Match-fit and assembly sequence," ten steps: rough-cut the MHA-083 columns oversize and fit each to its assigned MHA-035 socket as a close hand-slip with no perceptible rock, retaining orientation match marks; pilot-transfer the lower cross-bore axis through both tube walls using the existing casting bores, then enlarge both walls to dia 5.00 so the MHA-132 shank passes freely without thread contact; reseat the columns, fit the MHA-077 top casting with its hub opposite the nameplate end, and set every cross-bore axis to the controlling top-axis height from sheet 1; final match-cut each column to its actual base/top/cap stack; repeat the pilot-transfer at the top axis; reassemble and install eight MHA-132 screws from the pilot-drilling side; verify cap recess clearance and push the caps on; seat the MHA-089 casting with four MHA-039 screws; install the nameplate with four MHA-030 screws; start MHA-118 in the gooseneck hub with its cup point clear. Below, "Assembly-only checks" lists five verification items covering match-mark alignment, screw-head seating and thread engagement, cap seating and undistorted tube ends, flatness of the casting and nameplate, and an unobstructed gooseneck bore. At right is an isometric render of the finished assembly at 1:7 — teal base and top frame, four silver columns, triangular support casting and brass nameplate on the deck.

NEW: Alexis Mercedes Rinck has proposed an amendment to Rob Saka's SAFER Streets Act that would give the City Traffic Engineer explicit authority to implement street changes in historic districts (Pioneer Square, Pike Place) without getting the approval of the local boards.
Effect: Currently, physical changes in designated historic, special review, and
landmark districts are reviewed by community volunteer boards facilitated through
the Department of Neighborhoods. The authority of the City Traffic Engineer to
construct traffic control devices, such as markers, signs and signal devices, used
to inform, guide and control traffic, including pedestrians, motor vehicle drivers,
and bicyclists, in these areas is unspecified. This amendment would clarify that
the City Traffic Engineer’s authority is over all City right-of-way, including
designated historic, special review, and landmark districts. It would also specify
that traffic control devices in such areas are not subject to landmark designation,
nor do construction of traffic control devices require a Certificate of Approval1. The
amendment allows the Traffic Engineer to coordinate with the Department of
Neighborhoods or the landmark preservation boards to minimize design conflicts
in alignment with the historic, cultural, architectural, or geographic significance of
the district.

This section in my AGENTS.md saved me from so much aggravation with agents forming cargo cult practices over time. github.com/pedropaulovc...
### Empirical skepticism — a "doesn't work" claim is a hypothesis until a repro backs it
 * A "doesn't work / impossible / too slow / must be ugly" verdict is not evidence until a re-runnable repro is attached. N self-authored failures prove your *call shapes* fail — not that the feature is dead. An instant False/None is a rejection with an enumerable cause; suspect your arguments first, the feature last.
 * This holds whether you wrote the claim or inherited it (comment, runbook, prior agent). A specific, named mechanism with no repro is a hypothesis wearing a fact's clothes — specificity makes it more *trusted*, not more *true*. Untested inherited claims calcify into folklore.
 * When you WRITE a gating claim, commit its repro next to it. When you INHERIT one, spend the few minutes to falsify it before building on it — especially when it's expensive (forces a slow/ugly pattern everywhere).
 * Before any "dead" verdict, get a **positive control**: reproduce a form known to work, then bisect the delta to your failing form one variable at a time. That converges; brainstorming more failing variants does not. If no working form exists anywhere, say so — that itself is the evidence.
 * Don't pre-engineer defensive fallbacks around an *unverified* assumption that a tool will misbehave. Assume it works; if a failure is real, reproduce it first, then fix with evidence.
 * "It was reviewed" ≠ "the premise was checked" — review verifies written code, not unstated architectural premises.
 * Word verdicts honestly: **"dead under <variants tried>; untested: <list>"** — never "dead, period" while untested deltas remain. If you can't enumerate what you haven't tried, you haven't mapped the space.
