Remember when we didn't know what Lloyd Austin did day-to-day? In fact, his biggest scandal was getting cancer treatment without telling anyone. Good times.

there are parents just like you whose children are dying of a disease that has been ravaging humanity for a hundred thousand years, a disease we can treat, but Elon musk decided their lives were not worth the minuscule cost of treatment or prevention. that is who republicans like, it’s who they are

✈️ By the time war actually started, Germany was still leaning on older bombers while the “future fleet” was barely ready. ✈️ In Ep. 76, Dan Sharp explains shows how tech, ambition, and bad timing shaped what the Luftwaffe could actually do. Listen here: www.buzzsprout.com/2327200/epis...

The overwhelming right wing sentiment is that COVID was an engineered bioweapon that was also harmless. Trump overreacted to it by shutting down the country, then engineered a drive to create a vaccine that was the real bioweapon that killed millions, and it's Joe Biden's fault.

I'd make a joke like Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom (1977, dir. Passolini) but it's not even elevated depravity. It's taking Animal House seriously as your moral lodestar. It's Judge Holden hosting Jackass. It's not even as cool or dangerous as any of those. It's just pathetic.

The Luddites loved technology. They owned looms at home and would ‘mod’ them to count threads. Their battle was against worker exploitation. The degradation of their rights, safety and wages. They were against a handful of rich businessmen owning the means of production. Sound familiar?
