There is no centralized data on penalties for campus sexual assault. But the last time I checked schools that posted complaint outcomes, reflection papers were the most common penalty (followed by a 1 semester suspension). The resolution of the Cornell case is not an outlier.

I learned this week that the New York Times was founded 175 years ago. There is a useful set of pieces floating around on this for journalism history buffs. But what struck me is that means the Times was founded 25 years *after* the black press which will celebrate its 200th birthday in a few months
