I’m glad to hear Dr. Acton is safe, and I’m thankful for the law enforcement officers who responded quickly in Ohio. Incidents like these are becoming too common, and it’s completely unacceptable. Political disagreements should never escalate to violence.

Costs are rising every day, and families are finding it harder and harder to make ends meet. In the last year, grocery prices have gone up 3%, utilities up 11%, and medical services up almost 4%. As governor, I’ll focus on policies that lower the cost of living—not increase it.

I raised my kids to fight for what they believe in. My daughter Maddie took that to heart a few years ago when she testified in front of the legislature against GOP efforts to hurt our public schools. Advocacy runs in our family—it’s who we are.
