I'm watching one of the @johnsoncountypost.bsky.social's KS House District forums--the one for Districts 28 (open), 19 (Clayton) & 24 (Ousley). Stephanie Clayton is so damn good at these. She hits every answer out of the park. As for why I'm watching it--28 is my parents district. And it's open.

I just got done knocking doors with state Rep. Nikki McDonald, who won in 2024 by just 148 votes, basically the only vulnerable Democrat who actually won that cycle (along w/Rep. Osman, who amazingly has no opponent this cycle). Kansas Dems seem stoked to vote & Unaffiliateds were super-friendly.

Occasional reminder for those with Republican friends who are disillusioned with the current state of affairs but cannot bring themselves to vote for a Democrat: You can still convince them to not vote, vote but leave certain races blank, or vote for a Libertarian if one is on the ballot.
