Trump’s new AI website believes he is the “former” president and acknowledges his criminal indictments
Screenshot of America.gov answering, “Has a president ever been criminally indicted? If so, who?” The response says former President Donald J. Trump has been criminally indicted and that no sitting president is shown in the cited sources as having been indicted. It cites Trump’s August 1, 2023 federal indictment on four counts related to conduct after the 2020 election, as well as Congressional Research Service information noting additional New York and Florida indictments.

The Yes on 3 campaign (jungle primaries) keeps saying that Q3 will lead to more candidates running. They fail to understand the actual barriers potential candidates face and will make those barriers even greater.
I have been volunteering for candidates up and down the ballot for 14 years, and what I always tell people is that the two biggest barriers for any candidate considering running for office are TIME and MONEY.

If you want to see more people run for office, you need to tackle the barriers of TIME and MONEY. Both are barriers that hit working-class candidates, grassroots candidates, women, and people of color especially hard.

Question 3 (all-party primaries/jungle primaries), by contrast, would increase the TIME and MONEY involved in running for office. That doesn't increase competition: it artificially constrains it by limiting who will even consider running for office in the first place.

This is insane.
Under a new interpretation of the law’s language outlined in the memo, the accidental killing or injury of an animal would no longer be considered illegal; only actions specifically intending to target an animal would.

The change would be transformative because, in the United States, the killing of endangered animals almost always happens incidentally, in the course of economic activity. Until now, industries and individuals could be held accountable for those foreseeable deaths and, as a result, they have been incentivized to avoid them.
