A friend is in town. While they admired the beauty of Winnipeg’s Exchange District, they found the strong smell of urine in the alleyways pretty gross. It’s true - there’s one alley so bad that I hold my breath while walking and biking past. Couldn’t the city spray down the alleys occasionally?

While the phone call itself has already been reported before, I believe local Michigan journalist Sam Robinson is the first to say that Kamala Harris *apologized* to Abbas Alawieh for not allowing the Uncommitted National Movement to have a speaker at the 2024 Democratic Convention.

Harris called Alawieh earlier this year to apologize for leaving him and other pro-Palestine leaders off the DNC stage in 2024. Alawieh was one of the founders of the Uncommitted movement.

Shockingly given it's the Post, the top comment is actually based (they're responding to a quote in the article about it being literally Hitler to make elderly people walk 5 extra blocks to the bus).

I was needing a rollator to walk 5 blocks to the bus at the beginning of the year. You know what the walking did? It made me strong enough to walk the distance without the rollator. I never use it anymore and I just turned 80.
