This wasn't specified in the statement last night, but Canada did add new counter-tariffs on the US to replace the fish and seafood tariffs it removed. The new 50% tariffs will hit copper wire, wood charcoal, and a handful of other items such as plaster tiles and printed photos.

Note that in 2017, and as recently as last year, a 25% US tariff on steel was enough for Canada to launch major trade retaliation against the US. Now it seems that may be the new normal (or at least for the next 2.5 years)
