Yes, but. Couple of things are different this time. First Rejoin becomes the hope/change option, Stay the status quo, at a time where if anything the mood is even more negative in the country. Second, what is there to lose? Worse case scenario, we stay as we are, it can’t get any worse

The ability to pour hundreds of millions of pounds into a loss-making TV channel, bent on wrenching British politics sharply to the right, is yet another of the ways in which extreme wealth is trying to remake UK democracy. It needs to be part of any serious conversation about political funding.

There were about 16,000 heat-related deaths in Germany last summer, about double the mortality during the first Covid wave in early 2020. Extreme heat needs to be treated as an ongoing public health emergency.

In case people are not fully across the Fairford story: What appears to have happened is that five men from London went to a small country village in the middle of the night to siphon fuel for resale. In small country villages, people notice things, especially at 1am. A farmer called the police.

All for this but my feeling is the parking issue has improved hugely with the creation of more dedicated bays. On my last trip yesterday the only inconsiderate parking I noticed was the car parked over the cycle lane that forced me onto the pavement
