I’m sorry, Melissa Clark. That looks delicious, but if I asked you for a vegetarian take on a BLT and you handed me a mushroom burger, I’d feel rather cheated.
Screenshot of a recipe article featuring a large, crispy mushroom sandwich on a green plate. The sandwich is topped with lettuce, tomato, and red onion on a brioche bun. Image caption reads: "Yewande Komolafe’s crispy mushroom sandwiches. Andrew Bui for The New York Times.” Article text reads “Melissa explains it all: meatless BLTs. Speaking of tomato sandwiches, several readers wrote in asking for ideas for meatless BLTs."

lol. Different channel, but same clickbait-y “terrifying” slop history MO. Or is it? I mean, Joe sure looks upset. mPerhaps this one is legit? Perhaps we’ll never know — I’m not watching this one to find out.
YouTube thumbnail featuring a split image. On the left, Joe Rogan is visibly emotional, wearing headphones and speaking into a microphone. On the right, there is a digital rendering of Göbekli Tepe, with a futuristic, glowing humanoid figure reaching toward it. I would like media to care more about the reality that tech tycoons want to kill people than what they’re imagining about AI wanting to kill people. We have multi-millionaires (with support from billionaires!) calling for ethnic cleansing, a thing that has happened in living memory. Not theoretical!

I haven’t watched this, but either the “solution” is bullshit, or this is another example of the devaluation of the word “terrifying.”
A YouTube thumbnail featuring a split screen. On the left, there is a man with glasses and the word "BREAKING" in a red box. Dear Journalists, When a serial shitstain claims they have apologised for something, you should not report that statement as fact unless they have actually apologised. Noting that some people are “skeptical” does not make your headline any less of an outright falsehood.
Snippet of article from Wyoming Public Radio.

Headline: “Pastor apologizes for Sundance comments. Protesters are skeptical”

Intro: On a rainy Sunday at the end of August, about a dozen protesters held up signs outside the Foundations for Nations church near Arapahoe. Cars and trucks honked in support as they passed. One sign hanging on the fence summarized the general sentiment: “Leave.”

“She called our sacred pipe an idol,” said Northern Arapaho member MiRae Yellowbird.

Honestly I think a TTRPG’s lethality is more a function of the table than the system. I played Shafowdark for 6 months at various tables and there were remarkably few PC deaths, yet I hear stories of utter carnage from other groups. It should be noted that those stories were gleefully told.

page of OMIOS URES. digital painting over graphite sketch of a chameleon hunter with a hand cannon. his prehensile tail is holding a torch behind him, and various items are strapped to his body. a bandolier with potions, a large bag with a bear trap sticking out, a fairy in a cage hanging from a rod. waterskin, pocket watch, sleeping bag, retro aviator-like goggles on his forehead. he walks hunched, as if sneaking about, and his delicate gait - exactly like a chameleon's - is a visual play, resembling the tippy toe walk of a cartoonish hunter

As someone with an e-bike, I can attest to the fact that having an e-bike makes me do things on e-bike (which requires exertion) rather than car (which does not). Both e-scooters (which terrify me) and e-bikes (which I adore) expend more physical injury than driving.
