Actual doctor here: this is not remotely how this works. Hospice is medical care. Your insurance works for it just like it does for any care (which in the US means there will be some denials, a request for forms, lots of waiting on hold, and a large chunk left for you and your family to pay 🤦🏻‍♂️)
