Me whenever I have to communicate with other human beings #anxiety

Every time I see a new Dedalus Books cover, I remember the time (years ago) when I wrote to them in despair, offering to do free book cover design for them (they publish some great books!). They did not respond effusively. Then I discovered that the publisher's wife is their cover designer.
