the housecleaning is the only bad part of having your bff come visit for an extended stay lol the house was kinda wrecked, what with my shoulder injury the past 3 weeks, but i got it done & the place is sparkling 😅

As someone who speaks with a stutter, I gave a floor speech yesterday before the #PaHouse unanimously passed my bill that would allow people with communication impairments like me to voluntarily include a designation on their driver's license. This would help reduce misunderstandings during traffic stops and increase public safety.

my bff, who is a master-level contractor, is on his way here to help me get the large shed turned into a living space & the relief that it’s finally going to get done (which’ll give me some much-needed space from the parents) & that my bestie is just going to be here for a few weeks is life changing

i’ve always wanted to see a Mary Poppins series that’s more in line w/the books, so i’m totally into the news that this might happen. whether or not it’ll work well is debatable. the characters don’t have a ton of depth, & that seems like it’d be challenging unless they develop some motivation, too

been kinda quiet on here bc i’ve been trying to keep busy in everyday life to not think/kind of get thru some sads about this recent disappearance of Mme Applebottom. it’s been 10 days. she’s been gone 13-14 days before, so i’m still holding out hope. send her some good vibes if you’re into that ❤️‍🩹

constant lawn mowing & edgers & weed watchers making me pissy my neighborhood AND the park have been going since 4pm & it’s like everyone is taking it in turn. it’s 100% men hearing other men doing their lawns & going, oh i should do mine next! the quiet of winter is seriously under-appreciated

love to see water leaking from the _dryer_ even better when you realize the last nail on the gutter above the dryer vent is gone & the rain is just rolling down the exterior wall of the house straight into an apparently unsealed dryer vent while standing on a ladder in the rain, sinking into mud

will probably be asleep by 10pm, which is not at all usual for me, and i dislike being this tired so early. and on a friday! i think? it’s due to injury recovery, which i always forget takes up a lot of the body’s resources. shoulder is getting better daily, tho, so can’t really growl too much

i was 7 minutes late to the backyard & missed Mme. No amount of singing made her come out from the big shed, so i’m thinking she’s doing big renovations under it 🤞 saw her on the trail cam outside of it, so i know she’s ok. it’s a positive development that she didn’t feel she needed to get food!
