I don't even know if "ace" is an identity I feel strongly about. I view the label as a less-than-accurate placeholder for the mulitfaceted nature of erotic experience and feeling that exists untethered from the sex act. Does "asexual" successfully describe that for me? I don't know. However (1/6)

A friend recently told me their son said it was "rude" to read books on airplanes, bc the overhead light disrupts other passengers' screen time. Meanwhile tech assholes are out there reengineering all cultural infrastructure to favor the most obnoxious shit imaginable.

It's April 1. You made it through another month. You deserve a treat, right? Of course you do! So here. Pease enjoy this lesson in the biology of the electric eel (which isn't actually an eel). 🗃️🧪

Importantly, the drawing here is not of an electric eel at all, but rather an aguilliform eel. The two are very different kinds of fish. Eels are eels. Electric eels are knife fish, which is a very cool and dangerous sounding name. This is all to say that you should be very careful if you are using this diagram to try to change the batteries in your knife fish.
