Tomorrow is a hugely important day. At 4pm, the UK Covid-19 Inquiry will publish its report into the UK’s pandemic decision-making & political governance. I dearly hope our political leaders & decision-makers will listen, learn &, above all, act on the findings. Because there will be a next time.

1) Dr. Robert Naviaux’s theory is that the mitochondrial dysfunction observed in ME/CFS isn’t actually a dysfunction. The mitochondria are doing precisely as they are instructed by signals in the blood and from the brain.

1) There were some concerns that DecodeME might have suffered from population differences and that selection bias or different ancestry between patients and controls affected the DNA results. Looked closer into this and don't think this distorted the results. A brief thread 🧵

Willie Brown Middle School is a San Francisco 6-8 in the Bayview District. For the entire ‘24-‘25 school year, I have been driving the 44 O’Shaughnessy bus that stops there right after school gets out. That trip has been the busiest and most challenging part of my working day.

Excellent thread. For my last book, 'The Magic of an Irish Rainforest', I visited pieces of this potentially exquisite habitat across the island of Ireland, and invariably saw the same thing: slow death by overgrazing + invasive plants. As I've seen with my own place, it's SO easy to reverse this.
