It never ceases to amaze me how gullible people are. They tell you coding is solved and yet software is perpetually broken. Then, they tell you not to read the code because we all know the best way to deal with problems is to ignore them. And that's engineers.

I've finally been able to put all frontend solutions on the same grid by recognizing them as a product of 2 axes and 3 core responsibilities. HTMX, LiveView, RSCs, islands, SPAs, Sync Engines... None express what another can't. They differ in efficiency and ergonomics. 👇

Lots of software companies have bought into the belief that AI has solved software engineering. The debate is shifting from whether AI should replace work done by SWEs, PMs and designers to whether humans should even review the output. Apparently human judgment is now the bottleneck.

It's crazy how Vitest has replaced not just JSDOM but also React Testing Library with their Browser Mode. I'm absolutely loving this 😍 Once you write a single test like this, you will never want to go back.

Solod v0.4 is out! It's a system-level language with Go syntax, zero runtime, and fast C interop. The new release ships an automatic C bindings generator, freestanding mode for most of the standard library, and even some Windows support 😅 antonz.org/solod-0.4
