Reform are furious about LGBT books invading Warwick libraries. Reform leader George Finch said he was acting on “a number” of complaints from local people. So Labour MP Rachel Taylor asked the council for the actual figures. There have been zero complaints. via Reform Are Not Your Friends

It’s 11 am Sunday, I imagine 100’s of Farage supporters in Clacton on their fourth pint of Engerlish Steller Artoris happy that Nige won to fight the Establishment Meanwhile Farage is heading for a long lunch at a 3 Star Michelin restaurant, with Champers & fine Claret, where plebs aren’t welcome..

Sending love to Jason Arday's family and friends. He was subject of sustained and malicious media attacks which were no doubt more vicious because he was Black. We must now reflect on the impact of a trial by some of the media and online on someone under extreme pressure.

The term “witch hunt” is overused in politics. Perhaps not now. Quite a bit of the British media should ask themselves serious questions as to whether the coverage they gave to this man was remotely proportionate. Likewise there are Qs for Cambridge- and whether they discharged their duty of care.

Farage cannot be allowed to get away with this lie. It's the politics of the absolute gutter. And invoking the two world wars in his grubby little game is an insult to the people who actually fought and died in them.

Not sure about Joe Pike's analysis of Clacton on BBC News... While technically accurate to say Reform "has had a commanding lead in national opinion polls for much of the past 18 months," isn't it misleading to omit that its numbers have been dropping for months and it is now not even in the lead?
Farage's allies say he has been both emboldened and re-energised by this race, and it is not difficult to work out why.
He is clearly popular in the constituency, his party has had a commanding lead in national opinion polls for much of the past 18 months, and he has achieved something remarkable in turning his upstart organisation into a mass-membership movement with a serious chance of getting into government.

The only things this ridiculous Clacton by-election farce have confirmed: 1) Farage is wholly unfit for public office, given his willingness to abuse it 2) Farage is corrupt 3) Farage is an attention-seeking, charmless, lying dickhead 4) Clacton has let us all down. Again. That’s it.

Wishing Joe Biden peace, comfort, & all the love and care he deserves.
#Pinks

Former U.S. President Joe Biden was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer in May 2025, which had spread to his bones. The disease is in an advanced stage. According to his family and doctors, his treatment and hormone therapy are continuing.
As a Dane, I can say this: the rest of the world sees Biden for who he truly is-a kind and caring human being.
He was a good president.
He is a good human being.
I am deeply sorry for him and his loved ones.
