I just learned that data centers don't even NEED to use all the water they're guzzling up. It's all because the people making them refuse to make proper cooling loops, but it's cheaper to just turn all that water into waste. What the actual fuck. Want for efficiency is dead apparently.

I think this is an important pov but also it shows a lot of people are motivated by jealousy and hurting people. And that’s why politicians bring out these policies. People genuinely like the idea of other people hurting - beneficiaries, disabled people, carers, immigrants, Māori.

Remember when Simeon Brown and Cabinet signed off a rule, where if speed limits were lowered because of schools, they had to be increased back to unsafe levels? And this resulted in over a 1000 roads in Auckland having speeds increased, including outside a school for the blind?
