America had wiped out measles. Now babies are infected at birth.
Congenital measles has rarely been seen in the U.S. That’s changing as vaccination declines and more pregnant women become infected.

Screenshot of a Thailand Medical News article titled “COVID-19 Spike Protein S1 Triggers Inflammatory Brain Cell Death,” dated September 6, 2026. The article says scientists identified a molecular pathway through which the SARS-CoV-2 spike S1 protein can trigger intense inflammation and pyroptosis, an inflammatory form of programmed cell death, in laboratory models of human microglial cells. Below is an illustration showing SARS-CoV-2 particles beside an inflamed brain and a damaged brain immune cell.

These threads read like a sampling of population-wide immune system dysfunction. This is not normal, especially for this time of year, and it wasn’t the case pre-2020. Feels like around 2022 flu was normalized like it’s just a cold; now pneumonia might be next. #Covid
Comment on the Bay Area subreddit. See a link to the thread further down:
“It's astounding seeing people still try and blame precautions from 6 years ago on why they're constantly sick now, despite a mountain of evidence that COVID wrecks your immune system and sets you up for being sick with everything else. Feels like society is doomed and will do anything except spend money to improve ventilation or wear masks.”
