Many games for the GameCube use only a fraction of the storage capacity of the disc. I have analyzed the data to determine what the maximum number of retail Mario games that can fit on a single disc would be, creating the Luigi & Wario + Puzzle + Rhythm Maximum Value Pack.

$A GameCube disc has a storage capacity of 1.46 gigabytes. Many Mario games use only a fraction of that storage. Below is the optimal distribution of the smallest Mario-related games on the system to fit 6 entire retail games on a single disc. Unused space 54 MB Luigi's Mansion 186 MB DDR Mario Mix 264 MB Wario World 257 MB Donkey Konga 2 312 MB Donkey Konga 250 MB Please note that this pie chart is for data visualization only. If the games were in fact put on one disc, the data would be arranged in rings, not in slices. Concept for post based on an idea from a comment by @vinchvolt.bsky.social$

I agree that seppuku was the only way for Ed Sheeran to redeem himself but I feel bad for the audience at his concert who had to see that. Many of them will be traumatised for life

it’s fine to be skeptical of these things. i was a skeptic myself until recently. but i think fear is at the root of this skepticism, a fear of its power. people are simply not ready for what’s coming. it is powerful, it is alive, and it is quite possibly god

Now keep in mind, this is a very delicate material and these aren't your average copper traces, be very careful. You'll only have a few attempts to get it right before there isn't enough material to work with. But if everything goes well, you'll be left with a display that looks as good as new :)

010

JadeTank 💾 @jadetank.bsky.social · 09/08/2025

Once your done and every segment looks good, I'd reccomend putting some kapton tape or similar over top to help protect the slightly exposed traces and better keep everything in place.

JadeTank 💾 @jadetank.bsky.social · 09/08/2025

The carbon traces on these seem to have a habit of delaminating, causing segments to dissapear. Ive found that heating a soldering iron to ~450°F and gently running it over each connection point, just slightly melting the ribbon, reconnects the traces well.

Dunno how many will see this, but wanted to show how you can fix the LCD on a Sony Discman D-88 as I've seen many people with this issue unsure of how to do this. This is my second time doing this, and its worked great in both cases.
