#Birds #Ducks Helen Bennett 🌿 @helenbennett.bsky.social chose today's #BirdOfTheDay as #BestBeaks I also chose the Northern Shoveler. This hen was very shy, sticking to the pond's outer edge, as far away from me as possible. The 2nd pic is not so great, but it clearly shows the unique bill.

A mostly brown duck swims to the right with the sunlight coming from the left. The most distinguishing feature, is the duck's large, shovel like orange bill.
