Applied for a junior producer role at a major studio. Flown out to the HQ for all day final interviews. That night, one guy calls me on the phone for more questions. Tells me I don’t want the job and just want a foot in the door for design. This man, at a GDC party, told me to apply for the job.

Saw 'Portrait of a Lady on Fire' (2019) last night with my partner because wine-drunk-period-romance-watches was a big part of our early dating life. What a gorgeous and elegantly spare movie. Diegetic sound and natural lighting. Both a tragic romance and a film about what women do to survive men.

I’ve been the game lead on a project with crunch and I want to say this with full throat: Crunch is a failure of project management, not a failure of workers to get things done. The scope was wrong, the budget was wrong, the release date was wrong, or something else, but management fucked up.

Joined a job hunt support group to deal with stress. Everyone's in different industries but the same level of seniority. Similar struggles, feels good to be heard. The only cis-woman left due to a scheduling conflict. In just a few months it's devolved into a desperate weekly AI infomercial.

Visiting my old hometown to see my folks. Came out to them a little over a year ago, to… mixed results. Still, it feels a lot better to be here and not having to be in ‘New England Boy Cosplay’ as my partner calls it. DiFranco’s still serves the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had.
