Had to buy a new sewing machine, as my previous decided it no longer wanted to work properly. Went with a mechanical one this time, instead of digital that I never used 80% of the stitches on. If not being able to register it, as it's such a new model, is the only issue I have, I'll be happy.😆

Just talked to my (Mi based) brother with an update on mom. A room has opened up in a good Alzheimer's ward locally, so she will be moving in within a month. To be honest, it's time & the best thing for her as she's starting to need more care than they can give her anymore. #FuckAlzheimer's

USPS continues to absolutely suck. Sent a package Priority 3 day out on Wednesday (Sept 23), with a delivery date of today (Sept 26). Tracking is showing a delivery date of *Tuesday (Sept 29)*. This is the last time I pay for Priority mail. First-class is just as fast, if not faster, anymore.🤨

My Rage Against the Machine/Les Mis mashup is complete. This is my interpretation of the quilt guild’s summer challenge “quilt with your interpretation and/or feelings towards our current ‘democracy’” all hand stitched.

Quilt hanging on a card catalog. Neutral background with navy cursive appliqué “Do you hear thr people sing?” The background is embroidered in red starting light and getting bolder the lyrics to “killing in the name” the quilting effect is a focused sunburst from the center.

Got a delivery notice from FedEx, saying a package was left any my front door. Except the photo isn't my front porch doormat & not a single truck came up the drive, as we were literally outside, around the front porch, clearing black raspberry canes. And I have no idea what this package even is. 🤷‍♀️

What do you mean 'unlikely here today'? The Canadian Geese woke me up going overhead enroute to the ponds & I'm literally looking at House Finches on the tray feeder right now. House Finches are here year round, & the geese raise a family on the ponds every year. 'Not likely in my area' 😆 #birds
